Free Site Surveys

A good survey is essential to ensure the correct platform is sent to site. To ensure Acrolift customers receive the correct platform for their work at height we offer free site surveys, please make use of this service. Acrolift recommends that all customers instruct us to carry out their site surveys until they are familiar with our platforms.

Upon your request one of our surveyors will visit your site and utilising their knowledge and surveying tools they will measure the required height and outreach, then after considering the load that is required to be lifted the most appropriate platform for your purposes will be selected for you.

Traffic Management

Let our experienced operatives take on your traffic management planning. On receipt of your request, we can take over the responsibility for all temporary traffic management arrangements, including dealing with the highway authority for the issue of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (permit), signage planning and co-ordination of dilapidation surveys and implementation of physical traffic management.

Buy your safety harnesses

It is strongly recommended by both the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) that a Full Body Safety Harness complete with Adjustable Lanyard is worn in all Boom type Hydraulic Platforms. Acrolift can supply you with a suitable harness and lanyard in a kit that has been approved by IPAF:

Accredited to: BS EN 361 & BS EN 354
Web Material: 45mm Water Repellent Polyester
Weight: 1.15kg (Harness Only)
Features: Front & Rear “D Type” Attachments
Container: Tough Plastic Storage Case
Approvals: by IPAF

This complete harness safety Kit combines a front & rear "D" harness and an adjustable restraint lanyard supplied in a tough plastic storage case. The case provides protection when not using the equipment. The kit is designed to give maximum protection against vertical ejection from boom type hydraulic work platforms. All kits come complete with all the necessary connectors and can be utilised for other work at height applications. Kits are available and in stock ready to be dispatched.

Safety Harness Thorough Examination

In compliance with legislation, Acrolift can provide a thorough examination of your fall protective equipment.

This can be carried out at our depot, your premises or site, examined while you wait or returned by an agreed date.

Once examined you will receive an inspection record card and the harness will be tagged detailing the serial numbers and next inspection date.

Method Statement, Risk Assessment and Rescue Planning

Acrolift are competent to formulate your access specific method statements, risk assessments and rescue plans as required by the Work at Height Regulations.

These documents require a pragmatic written format detailing how the work has been planned and developed so as to ensure that it is a safe system. The safety method statement will include a scope of work, a detailed description of process', access required, hazards identified and control measures to minimise the risk, personnel responsible and their competence, personal protective equipment and communication requirements, etc. The risk assessment is integral to the method as only when the method is decided can the risks be assessed. Emergency rescue must be properly planned to ensure an easy and timely evacuation and identify any further training or responsibilities.

Our consultants will ensure that the appropriate documents are achieved by visiting the work area and through consultation with the relevant personnel produce the documentation.
